Aviation assets unlock capabilities most nonprofits can't access.

Donated aircraft may be retained for mission use — enabling rapid transport of rescued animals across state lines, response to natural disasters, and specialized logistics. Retained aircraft preserve fair market value deduction status under IRS rules. Aircraft that don't match mission use are sold through aviation brokers, with net proceeds funding:

  • Veterinary telemedicine for families who can't afford clinic visits
  • Emergency surgeries for rescued and abandoned animals
  • Shelter partnerships in underserved communities
  • Field operations transporting animals from disaster areas

Under IRS rules, if a donated aircraft is sold by the charity, your deduction is limited to the gross proceeds. However, if RexVet retains and uses the aircraft for its tax-exempt purpose, you may deduct fair market value. We'll tell you upfront which applies.
